Bryan Barnhart is a graduate of Purdue University's College of Engineering and the University of Louisville's Equine Industry Program. He is a career Army officer and thoroughbred racing stakeholder. Bryan has completed breeding and sales internships with the Kentucky Equine Management Internship (KEMI) program and is a graduate of the Kentucky Horseshoeing School's Farrier course. He is the former Operations Director of Kentucky’s only veterinary practice focused exclusively on the application of thoroughbred performance science, works major horse racing events as a production assistant for NBC Sports, and is the principle of Blue Spader Thoroughbreds and Blue Spader Properties. Bryan is currently serving on active duty as a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve stationed in Pensacola, Florida.
The equine athlete is the central focus and common denominator of the wonderful sport of horse racing, and Scientific Horseman is dedicated to understanding all aspects of our industry. As our sport works through significant challenges to remain relevant in an ever changing world, transparency and collaboration among all stakeholders has never been more important.
